Temperatures are on the move and I am proud to say, so am I. I set my goal to run one mile continuously – after 15 years of no running – by July 13, and I met that goal last week! However Wednesday’s run was not very comfortable thanks to some shorts that rubbed me the wrong way. Yep, chafing – raw, sore, skin and it didn’t feel good at all.  Lucky for me, I received a tube of Lanacane’s Anti-Chafing Gel to review so Friday when I put on the same kind of shorts and set out on the same kind of run, I had a different experience all together.

Summer heat and humidity should not keep you from setting – and reaching your fitness goals yet. Amy Gilberg, Mom, certified group fitness instructor and personal trainer, says “You don’t have to go to a gym everyday to start getting in shape. Meet a friend for a walk or hit the neighborhood tennis court.” And as a parent the running around never stops, so your workouts may even occur unintentionally. But whatever your fitness goals will be, it’s a good idea to know how to best treat this red, dry and itchy skin discomfort that may occur.

The good news is that just in time for all the warm-weather activities, Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel is now available in the United States. The non-greasy, moisture-proof gel dries clear on contact and provides long-lasting chafing prevention without staining your clothes… and safe for the kids to use too!  “Regardless of your fitness level, men and women can both experience chafing, especially between their thighs. Even kids can experience chafing playing sports or just enjoying some time on the playground,” Gilberg stresses.

The Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel is now my summer training essential – after it made such an amazing difference in my comfort level my run. It will be in my golf bag, gym bag and medicine cabinet! If you visit the Lanacane web site you can get a free sample to try for yourself.
