I know you don’t have to buy clothes specific to tennis to get out and enjoy the game, although if you are playing a few times a week it may be worth investing in a good tennis skirt. As with most specialty sports, finding tennis clothes in plus sizes is a challenge. I’ve done some research and I have found two tennis retailers who carry plus size tennis clothing.
Tennis Express – On their site you can actually search by size which makes it so much easier to narrow down your choices. They carry womens XL and XXL (2x) in skirts, tops, ball shorts, jackets, tees, and dresses. Not the largest selection in plus sizes, but they have a good selection of the basics. Another nice thing about Tennis Express is the free shipping on orders over $75.
TennisHut carries a nice line of women’s plus size tennis gear by In Between. Sizes include 1X (20W), 2X (22W) and 3X (24W). I really like their Wide Band Sphere Skirt – for the length and the flattering wide waist band. The collection includes jackets, skirts, tops, shorts, pants and tennis undergarments.
